How do I get to the Block List?
- 1To go to the block list click the menu on your Blackberry. From menu chooseaddress book and click the Menu button option in it. In the Menu choose Manage Numbersand then scroll for the Blacklist.
How to Block Unwanted numbers with the BlackBerry Block List
- 1Since you are using a Blackberry, you should become familiar with Blackberry's basic Block List.
- 2Go to menu and choose the Contacts option.
- 3In the contacts select the numbers you want to block. If you want to block an unknown number which you haven't saved in contacts then go to Recent contacts and select those numbers, whom you want to block.

The Firewall method
- 1The method is basically for business class users who use Blackberry servers which can be manipulated to block certain phone numbers from reaching certain numbers. Before you move on to the blocking there are steps which you need to perform in your Blackberry server firewall.
- 2First create a new IT policy on your server. From there, edit the Firewall policy groupand select Restrict Incoming Cellular Calls.
- 3Now enter the numbers you want to block, followed by an r and a semicolon.
Call Barring
- 1If you want to block all incoming calls on your Blackberry or for a certain amount of time or interval then choose the Call Barring option on your Blackberry by going to menu and then options, finally in options choose the Call Barring option and in it you can either choose to block all calls or just the roaming calls.

- Method 1 is recommended when you don't want to use any software and methods 2 & 3 are recommended when you want an extra easy blocking with stats being shown to you. Method 4 is applicable only for business class who use a Blackberry server in their domain.
- Method 5 is the easiest as it provides an easy switch option without downloading any software.
- There are many more third party software which can block a number on your Blackberry but it's always good to stick with internal methods rather than third party software to avoid any security or information leak.
