The ability to detect motion can be useful as an early warning system, or for surveillance. You can get an app for Android that can do this for you.

Steps

Open the Play Store app on your phone and search for "Motion Detector." Select "Motion Detector Pro."

Click "Install" in the top right corner of the app's screen.

Hit "Accept and download" to install the app onto your phone. Click "Open" after it finishes to open the detection app.

Select the camera icon to open the Surveillance screen.

Enter your phone number or email address for where you want to receive images captured by your phone's camera when it detects motion. Click "Start" Surveillance" to begin detecting motion.

Warnings

• Make sure you set up Android in the place you want to monitor, and plug it into the wall, since detecting motion often takes a lot of power.
